Thailand
Today is rained out - I’m sitting outside our little beach-side hut in Chaweng beach on Koh Samui, typing away thanks to Parissara’s GSM/EDGE wireless internet card and a powercord sneaking through the window.
Bangkok is huge, bewildering and fascinating. Navigating around the city without a guide seems foolhardy. Koh Samui on the other hand is small, intimate and just right. There is a never-ending stream of good places to eat (yesterday I had the most tender and succulent australian steak, the day before featured a delicious Thai curry, and so on) and thanks to the local Bookazine store we now have enough reading material to last through the rainy season.
Now if it could only stop raining so I can get back to the serious business of doing nothing on the beach, life would be perfect.
