Stanford!
I applied to five universities in the US: Stanford, UC Berkeley, U Washington, University of Colorado, and University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Carnegie Mellon wanted two years work experience for their programme, so that was right out.
All of them rejected my application, except for Stanford. I took it as a sign from above and set about applying for all the scholarships I could find. Stanford is not cheap, coming in at around $10 000 per quarter. A full year’s fees are required up front in order to enter the US.
